Biomacromolecules/Macromolecules Young Investigator Award

Biomacromolecules, Macromolecules, and ACS Macro Letters along with the Division of Polymer Chemistry are seeking nominations for the Biomacromolecules/Macromolecules Young Investigator Award.
The award honors the contributions of two individuals, early in their careers, who have made a major impact on the field of polymer science.
The award was inaugurated in 2013 at the Fall 2013 ACS National Meeting in Indianapolis, IN, USA.
The award lectureship will be held at the Fall ACS National Meeting. The award consists of $3000 for each of the two Lectureship winners, travel and lodging costs up to $1500 for each winner, and an award plaque.
Eligibility Requirements for Nominees:
This is an international award intended to recognize the contributions of individuals globally. Therefore, nomination is open to early-career polymer scientists, chemists, and engineers of any nationality from academia, industry, or national laboratories.
1. Nominees must be of age 40 years or below on January 1, of the award year.
2. The awardee candidates should have published at least one article in either Biomacromolecules, Macromolecules, or ACS Macro Letters in the previous 2 years.
The following are ineligible for the Lectureship:
1. Editors-in-Chief, Deputy Editors, and Associate Editors of Biomacromolecules, Macromolecules, and ACS Macro Letters.
2. Members of the selection committee in the year in which the awardee is chosen.
Nominations:
Nominations should include the following items. Self-nominations are not allowed.
- Name and affiliation of nominee, date of birth, and date of completion of most recent degree, brief statement (< 100 words) describing the nominee’s primary accomplishments (limit: 1 page)
- List of up to 10 publications most relevant to the award, including DOI numbers (limit: 1 page)
- Nominating letter (limit: 2 pages)
- Candidate’s curriculum vitae (limit: 2 pages)
- Candidate’s complete publication list
