Mission: 

 

Enhance and foster industrial engagement and support to develop programming, education, recognition & awards within the ACS Division of Polymer Chemistry

 

Function:

 

Programming

  • Industrial Innovations in Polymer Chemistry – our signature symposium 
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the ACS Polymer Division on future programming topics
  • Facilitate increased industrial interaction in programming and presentations

 

Education

  • Structure future educational initiatives relative to industrial hiring & continuing education
  • Lead the polymer community through funding of K-12 educational programs - Intersociety Polymer Education Council (IPEC)
  • Participate in PolyEd – The national information center for polymer education 

Awards

  • Increased visibility within the international polymer community, particularly in the USA
