Enhance and foster industrial engagement and support to develop programming, education, recognition & awards within the ACS Division of Polymer Chemistry
Function:
Programming

Industrial Innovations in Polymer Chemistry – our signature symposium

Provide strategic recommendations to the ACS Polymer Division on future programming topics

Facilitate increased industrial interaction in programming and presentations
Education
- Structure future educational initiatives relative to industrial hiring & continuing education
- Lead the polymer community through funding of K-12 educational programs - Intersociety Polymer Education Council (IPEC)
- Participate in PolyEd – The national information center for polymer education
Awards
- Reward outstanding industrial polymer scientists:
- Foster graduate student involvement through travel awards previous winners
- Undergraduate presentation awards for symposia at National ACS meetings
- Provide direction for future and current industrial awards
Benefits:
