PolyEd Invitation

 

Our letter writing campaign has alerted CPT and the various members of the ACS executive committee as to the need for polymers in the undergraduate curriculum.  We thank each of you for your efforts. 

 

We have another opportunity where it is critical that we have a decent turnout.  It is for the ACS CPT Open Meeting on Sunday September 8 from noon to 1:30 in the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown Hotel,  in the Indiana Ballroom E.   Discussion will focus on the proposed changes to the guidelines for ACS approval. Light lunch will be provided.

 

The PC and PMSE hotel is nearby at the Hyatt Regency.  Both the Hyatt and Marriott are adjacent to the Indiana Convention Center so moving from one location to the other should be quick.  As some of you are aware, PC holds its Executive meeting at the same time so it will be difficult for some of you to come, but if you can just stop in and make yourselves known that would be great. 

 

When given the opportunity please speak positively about the need to have polymers included in the undergraduate curriculum so that the current "should" be changed to "must" in the current guidelines.  Further, that a polymer course be available as one of the advanced electives. 

 

You are also invited to come to the PolyEd Board Meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 7:30 – 9:00 am, Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, Theory B Room.
