"Polyurethanes 2000" will integrate 30-45 minute oral contributions from industry, government and academia, as well as a poster session. Fundamental aspects of polyurethanes and polyureas including synthesis, characterization, processing and performance (together with durability/stability) in areas including films, textile fibers, elastomers, foams, biomaterials, specialty coatings, adhesives, etc. will be featured. Thus, presentations focusing on catalysis, new diisocynates, polyols and chain extenders, latex or waterborne systems, surfaces active agents, and surface phenomena will be encouraged.

Accommodations

The workshop will be held at the Loews Annapolis Hotel, located at the gateway to the Annapolis Historic District. Hotel reservations should be made directly with the Loews at 410-263-7777 or by fax at 410-263-0084 requesting the Polymer Chemistry Workshop rate of $155 plus tax per night.

Annapolis is a 30 minute limo ride from the Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI).

Registration

The registration fee is $650 for Members of the Division of Polymer Chemistry and $700 for Non-Members ($150 Student Members, $200 Student Non-Members - excluding banquet). There is a $200 fee for a Non-Participating Guest that may accompany you. Written cancellation or registration after August 11, 2000, will cost an additional $50. In addition to handout materials, the fee includes meals, receptions, breaks, and a dinner as listed in the brochure.
