New Edition of the CRC Handbook in Chemistry

The CRC Handbook is one of the most widely used and recognized books in chemistry.  I assume that most of you are familiar with it.  It covers a comprehensive range of topics in chemistry and physics including polymers.  The 91st edition was just published and the 92nd edition is in preparation.  I have been asked to solicit additional material that might be included in the 92nd or future editions related to polymers.  Following is a description of what is currently in the 91st edition.  Refer to the 91st edition if you have questions with reference to coverage.  Please furnish me with topic areas that might be added along with a source for this information.  In the future, the editors are considering electronic connections to worthwhile sites so feel free to include these in your suggestions.

Section 13 (91st Edition): Polymer Properties

  • Abbreviations Used in Polymer Science and Technology
  • Physical Properties of Selected Polymers
  • Nomenclature for Organic Polymers
  • Solvents for Common Polymers
  • Glass Transition Temperature for Selected Polymers
  • Dielectric Constant of Selected Polymers
  • Pressure-Volume-Temperature Relationships for Polymer Melts
  • Upper Critical and Lower Critical Solution Temperatures of Binary Polymer Solutions
  • Vapor Pressures (Solvent Activities) for Binary Polymer Solutions
  • Specific Enthalpies of Solution of Polymers and Copolymers
  • Solubility Parameters of Selected Polymers
