CALL FOR PAPERS

"Photo-cleavable Polymers and Block Copolymers"
243th American Chemical Society National Meeting
San Diego on March 25-29, 2012.

Abstract and Preprint Deadline:  October 17, 2011

This symposium will address recent developments in the synthesis, characterization and application of polymers featuring photolabile groups, which allow the alteration of polymer properties simply by irradiation with light. The increasing utilization of different photolabile group in polymer chemistry shall reflect the focus of the symposium. This includes: of (i) chromophore-based crosslinkers for photodegradable hydrogels, (ii) photolabile side chain functionalization in (block) copolymers, (iii) photolabile side chain functionalization for thin film patterning, (iv) photolabile chemistry of self-assembled monolayers, (v) photocleavable block copolymers, and (vi) photocleavable bioconjugates.
The interdisciplinary use of block copolymers will be strongly emphasized during the symposium and we kindly invite you to participate in the promotion of photo-cleavable polymers and block copolymers for future applications.
