POLY Outstanding Poster Award

Award Winners

Nomination submission deadlines follow MAPS submission deadlines for each National Meeting

This award is established to increase the importance and visibility of posters being presented at ACS National Meetings in the POLY section. It is recognized that a great deal of work goes into preparing and presenting a high quality poster and POLY wishes to acknowledge and reward such efforts.

4 awards of $250 each will be awarded at each ACS National Meeting.

Albemarle was the Award Sponsor for 2015-2016

Eligibility Criteria:
• Nominations are open to current PhD students, post-docs, and industrial scientists at equivalent levels.
To be eligible for the award, candidates MUST choose “Consider for Sci-Mix” during their abstract submission. This will give the poster presenters an opportunity to participate in Sci-Mix, designed to be a large meeting-wide poster event held on Monday evening at 8:00 PM with posters contributed by each participating division.
• Symposium organizers will be invited to nominate “best posters” for Sci-Mix poster session based on the graphical abstract quality that is submitted to their symposium. (The number of nominations will be limited to 10% of the total poster submissions per symposia.)
The nominated posters will be reviewed by the POLY Poster Awards Panel on-site, during the Sci-Mix poster session, to select the finalists. Nominees will be judged on the basis of their contribution to the work, the quality and impact of their research, and their poster presentation and communication skills.

Award Presentation:
The Outstanding Poster Awards will be presented for each National Meeting during the POLY/PMSE Awards Symposia on Wednesday evening. Each winner will receive a certificate and monetary prize of 250 USD.
