This award is established to increase the importance and visibility of posters being presented at ACS National Meetings in the POLY section. A great deal of work goes into preparing and presenting a high quality poster and POLY wishes to acknowledge and reward such efforts. Albemarle provides sponsorship for this award which includes a $250 prize for 2 poster awards per ACS National Meeting. Nominations are open to current PhD students, post-docs, and industrial scientists at equivalent levels. To be eligible for the award, candidates MUST choose “Consider for Sci-Mix” during their abstract submission. This will give the poster presenters an opportunity to participate in Sci-Mix. The POLY Poster Awards Panel will review posters on-site, during the Sci-Mix poster session, to select the finalists. Nominees will be judged on the basis of their contribution to the work, the quality and impact of their research, and their poster presentation and communication skills.
