This interdisciplinary workshop is organized to facilitate the dissemination of new research on Organic/Inorganic Hybrid Materials. It is a reprise of a successful workshop held by the same organizers in November 2001. The Workshop will be of interest to graduate students, university researchers, and especially, industrial researchers. It will offer invited lectures dealing with:

• sol-gel processing of multifunctional hybrid materials that offer novel electroactive, composite, acoustic, insulating and mechanical properties
• synthesis and processing of organometallic and inorganic polymers for optical, structural, biological and high temperature applications
• synthesis and processing of macro-composite materials using novel processing techniques and inexpensive starting materials
• commercial aspects of hybrid organic/inorganic polymers.

The workshop will be held at the Ventura Beach Marriott. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Interested Speakers, prospective Poster Presenters and confirmed Lecturers are asked to provide an abstract reflecting the highlights of the presentation. All that is required is a 1-2 page (8.5 x 11 inches) WORD document in a Times 12 point font; charts and graphs optional. Submit to Lesia Linkous at lesiar@vt.edu.  Mailing a paper copy is encouraged but not required to: Division of Polymer Chemistry Inc., 410 Davidson Hall 0279, Blacksburg, VA 24061. Deadline is January 25, 2008.
